Onboarding and Trial Alerts

Overview

SellerOps sends a series of automated emails during your onboarding and trial period. These keep you informed about your account status and help you get the most from your trial.

Onboarding Emails

Welcome Email

  • Trigger: Account creation
  • Content: Welcome to SellerOps, next steps to connect your TikTok Shop

This is the first email you receive. It includes a link to start the TikTok Shop connection process.

Shop Connected Email

  • Trigger: TikTok OAuth authorization completed successfully
  • Content: Confirms your store is connected and monitoring has begun

Once you authorize SellerOps to access your TikTok Shop, this email confirms the connection is live.

First Order Synced Email

  • Trigger: SellerOps successfully pulls your first order from TikTok
  • Content: Confirms monitoring is active and shows your current order count

This email means Watcher is actively tracking your orders. Deadline alerts will now fire as orders approach their dispatch deadlines.

Proof Moment (Activation)

After your initial order sync, SellerOps shows a “proof moment” page. This analyzes your last 14 days of orders and highlights what Watcher would have caught.

  • Near-miss orders (shipped within 4 hours of the TikTok deadline)
  • Total order value protected
  • Average order value

Your Late Dispatch Rate (LDR), the percentage of orders shipped after the deadline, is calculated from this historical data. The proof moment demonstrates the value SellerOps provides from day one.

Trial Period Emails

During your 14-day trial, SellerOps sends reminders as your trial approaches its end date.

Email Timing Audience Purpose
T-5 Reminder 5 days before trial ends Trial users Early notice. Subscribe to continue monitoring.
T-2 Reminder 2 days before trial ends Trial users Urgent. Trial ending soon.
T-0 Notice Day trial expires Trial users Trial ends today. Subscribe now to keep your alerts active.

Template selection may vary based on your near-miss count during the trial. Guard keys (trial_reminder:{accountId}:{templateKey}:{dateKey}) prevent duplicate sends.

Trial Expiration

When your trial ends, the following happens:

  1. Your billing_status changes from trialing to inactive
  2. The dashboard shows a trial expired page with upgrade options
  3. SellerOps sends a trial expired email
  4. Order monitoring pauses until you subscribe

Trial Banner

During your trial, a banner on the dashboard shows how many days remain. After expiration, navigating to the dashboard redirects you to the plans/upgrade page.

Payment Emails

Once you subscribe, these transactional emails keep you informed about your billing status.
